The participants of the International Scientific Congress talked about the state of research on the multicultural heritage of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Over one hundred historians, archivists, art conservators and librarians from Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania presented the results of their research conducted on the former borderlands of Poland.
As Dorota Janiszewska-Jakubiak, director of the National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad POLONIKA, said in Radio Rzeszów, it was about the exchange of experiences of people who dealt with documenting and preserving the heritage of their ancestors.
The aim of the event was to present the current state of research and research needs regarding the heritage of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, in particular outside Poland.
