From 4 to 7 September, the 5th Polish Congress of Mechanics and the XXV International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics will be held at the Silesian University of Technology’s Education and Congress Centre. This will be the most important event in the field of classical and quantum mechanics and applications of numerical methods in mechanics problems, organised in Poland in 2023.  

The conference continues a 50-year series of meetings devoted to numerical methods and their applications in problems of mechanics. The congress presents the current state of research in all disciplines of classical and quantum mechanics, solid and fluid mechanics, computational mechanics, applied mechanics and physics, as well as mechanics and structural engineering. 

The organisers of the events include Silesian University of Technology, the Polish Society for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Polish Society for Computational Mechanics and the Committee on Mechanics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The event is under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
