The European University of the Seas – SEA-EU consortium, whose partner is the University of Gdańsk, will implement the project “Beyond academia: broadening the career horizons of doctoral students in marine and maritime sciences in Europe”.

The aim of the project is to develop good practices, based on the experience of partners participating in the project, and to offer European universities the standards of education and equipping doctoral students with the competences needed to take up employment in the maritime economy.

The project also aims to strengthen cooperation between partners, promote the development, testing and implementation of innovative practices, and developing entrepreneurship and active cooperation in various areas among PhD students and PhDs.

The project will be implemented under Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships for higher education of the Erasmus + Program. Its budget is nearly 450,000. euro, including about 60 thousand. euro for the University of Gdańsk.
