The expansion of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science at the University of Gdańsk has begun, including the modern building of the Institute of Computer Science. The University of Gdańsk received funding for the project implementation under the Regional Operational Program of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for the years 2014-2020.
The new building of the Institute of Computer Science will be a modern, five-storey building with one underground and four above-ground storeys. There will be seminar and computer rooms, auditoria, teaching and research rooms as well as office and social rooms. The building will be adapted to the needs of the disabled – informs the University press spokesman, dr Beata Czechowska-Derkacz.
The facility will be connected to the existing building of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science with linking passages at the level of the second and third floors. The completion of the investment is planned for the end of 2020.
