Krakow University of Technology (PK) and Honeywell, a global innovation leader in aerospace technology, as well as technologies used in construction, advanced materials and safety and productivity, have signed a cooperation agreement.
Honeywell’s new research and development centre, which has the potential to become the largest of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, is under construction in Krakow. The hub will deal with aerospace technologies, the most dynamic area of Honeywell’s current activities.
Substantive support for the new centre will be provided by employees of the Krakow University of Technology. The company is also counting on students and graduates of the Krakow University of Technology to join Honeywell’s staff.
“The planned cooperation will benefit both parties. Our academic staff are experts whose knowledge and experience will make an invaluable contribution to Honeywell’s directions of operation. Our students, in turn, will be given the opportunity to develop and broaden their competences alongside practitioners from a prestigious company, as well as a chance to find their place on the labour market within the Honeywell team”, said the rector of the Krakow University of Technology, Prof. Andrzej Szarata.
