Over 15,000 people have applied for studies at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin. The hit of this year’s application process turned out Criminology – a novelty in the offer of the university in Lublin with nearly 40 candidates for one place.
-Despite the pandemic, the number of applications in the first part of application process has remained similar to last year’s one. We are satisfied with this result and we hope that these data will turn into the number of people who will actually submit documents at our university – said Magdalena Drwal from the UMCS press office.
Also, interest of foreigners to study in Lublin remains at a similar level in comparison to last year. In this year 1038 candidates from abroad, mainly from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia have been applying for admission the studies of University of Lublin.
In addition to Criminology, with nearly 40 people competing for one place, the most popular studies include: Psychology (10.46 people per place), English studies (6.51), Jazz and stage music (6.27) as well as Finance and Accounting (6.15).
