The CyberLab generated examples of network traffic simulating a cyber attack on the industrial network. The data will be used by security experts by the European Network and Information Security Agency and will be included in the Agency’s training sets.
Marcin Dudek from the National Center for Nuclear Research explained that the network traffic is simulated most often for training purposes, but then it deviates very much from reality.
– In our case, real attacks on industrial installations were simulated, not data records reflecting such an attack – adds Dudek.
The CyberLab laboratory operates within the structure of the Science and Technology Park Świerk (PNT), which is the organizational unit of the National Center for Nuclear Research. CyberLab staff are PNT employees.
