The Center for Terrorism Research Collegium Civitas invites participants to a debate on June 13 with the participation of experts from the politics, media and sports entitled: “Will the World Cup in Russia be safe?”
The meeting will start at 17:30 at the Collegium Civitas headquarters (XII floor of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, room 1222). The speakers include Roman Kosecki, former Polish football representative, in 2012-2016 the vice president of the Polish Football Association and currently a member of the Sejm, Przemysław Iwańczyk, sports journalist, Maciej Karczyński, spokesman for the Internal Security Agency in 2012-2016, Andrzej Mroczek, expert on terrorism and Dr. Krzysztof Liedel, director of the Center for Terrorism Studies Collegium Civitas.
The topics of the debate are mass sports events as high-risk events, security measures for mass sports events in the world, sports in high-risk conditions – how we perceive contemporary sports spectacles and safe support – good practices and recommendations.
