In the new educational system, the scientific achievements of philosophers or lawyers at one university will be compared with the achievements of philosophers or lawyers at other universities. Future evaluation will be much more fair and reliable than the current one – writes in newspaper “Rzeczpospolita” Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education.
In the article “Does the Constitution for science threaten humanists?” the Deputy Prime Minister argues that the future evaluation system will take into account the specificity of the humanities and the new rules are good information for Polish humanists.
– Humanities have their specificity. It is also necessary for the cultural and spiritual development of society. The new model of evaluation will equally favor publications that develop national culture, as well as those that will incorporate the results of Polish humanist research into the global circulation of ideas – explains Gowin.
