Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Science and Higher Education, appointed members of the Science Evaluation Commission. In the first, four-year term, 31 people will work in the committee.
The Commission consists of three representatives of various fields of science and art, selected from candidates proposed by universities, scientific institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, research institutes and international institutes. The committee also included 7 people with experience in the field of science policy, indicated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
The Science Evaluation Commission is a new body established by the Constitution for Science. The commission’s tasks include evaluating the quality of scientific activities in 2021. In addition to the evaluation of scientific units, Science Evaluation Commission will also evaluate education in PhD schools.
