The evaluation of the scientific activity was the subject of the meeting of Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education with rectors responsible for the evaluation processes of universities from Lublin, Podlasie, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie Regions.

The meeting was devoted to a new scientific quality assessment and it took place at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin. During the event, Deputy Prime Minister Gowin emphasized that the basic change in the system of scientific activities at universities is that the scientific activity of the whole university in particular disciplines will be subject to the evaluation.

Thanks to these changes, the academic achievements of historians from one university will be compared with the achievements of historians from other universities, the achievements of lawyers employed at a given university – with the achievements of lawyers employed in other research centers. The future evaluation will be much more just and reliable than the current one – added Gowin.
