14.04.2020

Jarosław Gowin received a dismissal from the function of deputy prime minister and minister of science and higher education on April 9 at the Presidential Palace. He took office in November 2015 and resigned on April 6, 2020.

Through social media, Gowin thanked representatives of scientific and academic society for years of cooperation. “Thank you for almost five years of cooperation and trust, thank you for your wisdom and courage. For the fact that you were not afraid of change – on the contrary, you postulated reforms yourself and actively participated in them,”- said Gowin.

“Thank you for the Constitution for Science – the only great reform in Poland of the last several years, which was created in an open and reliable dialogue, which was co-created by thousands of scholars. Thank you for honesty and justified criticism, which sometimes prompted me to correct the course. I hope that Polish universities will always be a bastion of seeking the truth that surpasses all divisions,” – said Jarosław Gowin.
