Vanessa Schwert, a graduate of Management and Production Engineering of the Opole University of Technology became a laureate of the national competition for the best diploma thesis organized by the Polish Society for Production Management.

Her work “Application of selected Lean Manufacturing tools in the production system of Da Gama” was awarded in the competition. The author has focused on the identification of problems related to the company’s production department, and on the indication of possible solutions to improve the production system. The laureate continues her MA studies, specializing in project management. Also, she has recently started an internship in a company with which the university has signed a cooperation agreement

The aim of the competition is to constantly improve the quality of diploma theses, stimulate initiatives to undertake research work by graduates of Management and Production Engineering and to promote the development of their professional careers.
