Two doctoral theses presented at the University of Economics in Poznań were awarded in the Stock Exchange competition for the best bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral thesis on the capital market.
Distinctions were received by: Dr Jacek Krawiec for the dissertation “The impact of credit risk on the rates of return on shares and their volatility on the example of companies from the SME sector listed on NewConnect and the WSE in 2007–2017” and Dr Maciej Łobza for the dissertation “Effectiveness of socially responsible investments on the example of selected stock exchange indices”.
The competition concerned the development of knowledge in the field of the capital market. While assessing the works, the jury in particular took in account: originality, the method of analyzing the phenomena related to the topic of the work, the scope of the research, independence and innovation of the formulated conclusions, as well as the selection of bibliographic sources and linguistic correctness.
