23.06.2021

On June 23, the Doctoral School of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw has started the application process for nine scientific disciplines.

Education at the UKSW Doctoral School is interdisciplinary. This year, the application process includes the following disciplines: philosophy, history, literary studies, theological sciences, legal sciences, canon law, pedagogy and psychology. Education is free and takes place in a full-time mode. It lasts 8 semesters, during which each doctoral student receives a doctoral scholarship. The application process may be attended by persons who have a master’s or an equivalent degree and have academic achievements. It is also necessary to present a preliminary concept of the research topic.

Dr Elżbieta Karska, director of the UKSW Doctoral School emphasized, that a novelty in the education of doctoral students at the University is the “state of the art” seminar, which is valid for three years of education. It assumes participating in classes engaging doctoral students to share their theses, assumptions of research work, deliver papers and comments, participate in discussions, present their theses and answer questions from their colleagues and the evaluation committee.
