The Doctoral School of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk is inviting participants to the conference “Ecology in discourse. Animal studies” on June 17th and 18th. The conference will be held in four scientific disciplines: literary studies, history, life sciences and security sciences. 

The organizers are inviting experienced scientists, students and doctoral students to participate in the event. The conference will be held online, with a logistics center in Słupsk, one of the cleanest places in Poland.

The conference issues will include: Animal as the Other, Otherness / Stranger, Strangeness category; Cultural representations of animals; Literary symbolism of animals; Narratives with a literary subject / animal; Animal as a sign of nature / wildlife; Interspecies communication; Ethics and animals; Sensitivity and intelligence of animals; Man and the endangered species of animals and the animal in security sciences.
