Dr Artur Wiktor, scientist of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) won the 12th “Innovator of Mazovia” competition in the Innovative Scientist category. The competition is addressed to scientists who defended their doctoral thesis or completed their doctoral dissertation after January 1, 2016 in research entities in the Masovian Voivodeship.
The aim of the competition is to support and promote pro-innovative attitudes and build innovation awareness among the inhabitants of Mazovia, in particular in the scientific and business environment, emphasizing the role of innovation in the economic development of the region and gaining competences based on modern technologies.
In the category of Innovative Scientist, Dr Artur Wiktor won the first prize for his work titled „Study of the influence of the pulsed property field”; the 2nd place was taken by Dr Małgorzata Wolska-Pietkiewicz (Warsaw University of Technology) for her thesis titled “Alkyl zinc derivatives of organophosphorus compounds: synthesis, structure and transformation to nanocrystalline ZnO”; the 3rd place was taken by Dr Jarosław Biliński (Medical University of Warsaw) for his thesis titled “Intestinal colonization by antibiotic-resistant bacteria in patients with haematopoietic malignancies: clinical significance and management strategy”.
