On May 8, 2020 Dr Grażyna Żebrowska was appointed a director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange. NAWA’s mission is to support academic exchange and international cooperation. “NAWA is an institution that plays a key role in building Poland’s intellectual potential,” – emphasizes the new director.
Dr Grażyna Żebrowska has been the director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education since 2019. In the years 2003-2019 she worked as an adviser on science, technology and higher education at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington. Her duties included initiating and facilitating cooperation between Polish and American scientific and academic institutions. She was also involved in promoting Polish universities and research units in the United States.
Dr Żebrowska is a physicist by profession. She obtained a PhD in the applications of physical sciences in medicine at the University of Rennes 1 in France and at the University of Gdańsk.
