Dr Aneta Hanc-Kuczkowska from the Institute of Materials Science at the University of Silesia was elected the president of the Polish Society for Mössbauer Spectroscopy (PTSM).

Dr Aneta Hanc-Kuczkowska, researcher from the University of Silesia was elected during the PTSM meeting summoned during the XII National Seminar of Mössbauer Spectroscopy. Dr Hanc-Kuczkowska was previously vice-president of the Society. Now she replaced Prof. Eng. Krzysztof Ruebenbauer. The Board’s term lasts four years and the members of the authorities perform their functions in an honorary way and do not receive any remuneration.

The Polish Society for Mössbauer Spectroscopy supports and develops scientific, technical, didactic and popularizing activities related to the Mössbauer spectroscopy method. Its purpose is also to support basic and applied research using this method.
