Dr Iwona Jelonek from the Faculty of Earth Sciences at the University of Silesia became the president of the board of the Polish Pellet Council. The organization’s tasks include representation and support of entities operating on the pellet market and conducting research and development, promotional and educational activities.
The Polish Pellet Council is an association operating since 2017, whose members include companies involved in the production, trade and distribution of wood pellets, heating equipment manufacturers, installers and business entities, institutions and organizations operating in this industry and involved in its development.
Dr Iwona Jelonek is a research worker at the Department of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Petrography at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and a long-time member of the Polish Pellet Council. As a certified specialist, she is also accredited by the International Committee for Coal and Organic Petrology in the field of applied petrographic methods.
