Dr Joanna Sułkowska from the Center of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw won the award in the category “Person of the Year 2017” in the eighth MocArty contest of RMF Classic radio. The researcher was selected by the station listeners. The statuettes were solemnly handed on Monday, March 12.

Dr Joanna Sułkowska runs chemical research at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Modeling Biological Systems of the University of Warsaw. She specializes in protein, molecular and theoretical biophysics and conducts research on the looped proteins. The results of her work contribute to explanation and treatment of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s diseases and obesity.
