Dr Michio Kaku – an American physics theoretician, science promoter and futurologist will be visiting Toruń University at the invitation of the Polish National Foundation (PFN). On the 546th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, the scientist will give a lecture at the Jordanki Cultural and Congress Center.
Dr Kaku will visit Toruń as part of the 100×100 project, during which the PFN – on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence – organizes meetings with hundred celebrities from all over the world.
The scientist will visit the Astronomy Center in Piwnice, he will also visit the Polish Optical Atomic Clock at the National Laboratory of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics at the Institute of Physics of the Nicolaus Copernicus University and will meet with the authorities of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science.
