The drone, created by the company aiRPAS Machines from the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia will help the Water Volunteer Emergency in Gniewino in their work. The unmanned drone is already stationed at the bathing resort in Jastrzębia Góra, its copies will be delivered to Karwia and Ostrowia.
The board the machine is equipped with HD cameras with 10x optical zoom, which allows to distinguish whether lifeguards deal with a drowning or just swimming person. The drone is equipped with a rescue buoy with a hall which can be dumped toward the drowning person. If the condition of the victim allows it, the drone tows away to a safe place.
In the case of searching in hard-to-reach areas, it is possible to dump the signaling buoy, which through using an audible and visual signal as well as a GPS signal will indicate to the emergency services the location of the missing person.
