Following approval by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland, the nationwide research network E-RIHS.PL – European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science.PL has been included by the Minister of Education and Science in the newly established European Research Infrastructure: European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science ERIHS ERIC.
This was the final stage in the long process of joining the Polish Consortium for Cultural Heritage Research to the European research structure. Thus, the Polish network became the eighth national network to be part of the E-RIHS ERIC, alongside Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, Slovenia, Malta, and Cyprus.
E-RIHS.pl is a Polish consortium for the study of historical objects by physical and chemical methods, formed by 13 science institutions from Gdańsk, Kraków, Toruń, Warsaw and Wrocław. It has been on the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures since January 2020.
