Limiting the amount of water used during the filter rinsing and defining the conditions for the reuse of washings are the main goals of the studies conducted as part of the implementation doctorate by Halina Urbańska-Kozłowska. The works are carried out at the Wrocław University of Technology and the Municipal Water and Sewage Enterprise.

The result of research conducted under the supervision of Dr. Eng. Małgorzata Wolska from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the University of Technology is reduction of water losses in the production processes, protection of water resources, lower production costs and lowering of water charges in apartments.

The possibilities of managing the washings were analyzed in Poland several times, however, there is no clear information in the literature on their composition. If the implementation is successful, it will contribute not only to the water production plants in Wrocław, but it allows also to formulate generalizations for other enterprises.
