During a three-day visit to the United States, the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, visited the states of Illinois and Wisconsin, where he met with the Polish community, scientists of Polish origin and academic staff from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The main purpose of the visit was to learn about the problems and challenges faced by Polish diaspora in the USA in education and science, and to present an offer for Polish schools and academia operating in the United States.

During the visit, Minister Czarnek signed a Declaration on Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science with the Illinois Council of State for Education in Teacher Development and Guidance. He also met with scientists from the Medical Colllege of Wisconsin. As a result of the talks, both sides confirmed that Polish researchers will cooperate with American scientists on the development of innovative cancer research.
