Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities meets Polish ministers at the University of Warsaw

Representatives of the University of Warsaw (UW), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) met with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt on September 2 at the University of Warsaw. The meeting concerned the involvement of Polish scientists in researching the history of Egypt.

The subject of the meeting with the participation of Khaled El-Enana, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, was the involvement of Polish researchers in archaeological works in Egypt and their importance for the development of Egyptian tourism and economy.

The meeting was attended by: Hosam Alkaweesh, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Poland, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, Dr Anna Budzanowska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, heads of the Center of Mediterranean Archeology of the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Archeology, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNESCO-Poland, the Archaeological Museum in Krakow, the Archaeological Museum in Poznań, the Institute of Polish Archeology and Ethnology Of the Academy of Sciences and the Jagiellonian University.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of more than 10 archaeological expeditions working in Egypt.
