Students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology will participate in the competition Smart Moto Challenge. Their latest design LEM Thunder v2 electric motorcycle is ready to compete in Barcelona.
The vehicle was constructed by students from the Scientific Club of Vehicles and Mobile Robots. Like a year ago, their motorcycle is adapted for off-road driving. LEM Thunder v2 has a new durable chrome-molybdenum steel frame and a new battery with a two-fan system for improved cooling. It also received an exceptional starting number: “71”, referring to the telephone area code to Wrocław.
At the competition in Barcelona, Wrocław students will compete with teams from all over Europe, including two teams from Poland. Motorcycles will participate in dynamic and static competitions, the idea for implementing prototypes for mass production will also be assessed.
