The Electrotechnical Institute operating within the Łukasiewicz Research Network will establish its branch in Chełm. The Institute wants to acquire students of the Chełm State Higher Vocational School (PWSZ) as future employees.

– The establishment of the branch of the Institute of Electrical Engineering is an opportunity for our city also for additional jobs. Ultimately it will be about 50 jobs. The headquarters will be located in the premises of the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm and research work will be conducted there – said Jakub Banaszek, the Mayor of Chełm.

The Electrotechnical Institute is a research institute conducting research and development works, unit and low-volume production, experimental production, as well as product certification, publishing and standardization work in the electrical engineering.
