Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, director of the Internationalization Office of the University of Economics in Katowice (EU), became a member of the General Council of EAIE European Association for International Education – one of the most important industry associations focused on the internationalization of higher education.
Lachowicz-Santos has been involved in activities related to the internationalization of universities for over 20 years. During this time, she coordinated and participated in many international projects involving universities, employers and graduates. She was also involved in the creation of the SUN Consortium of Public Schools of Silesia (Silesian Universities Network).
Currently, she coordinates the implementation of the main assumptions of the EU internationalization strategy for 2018-2025. In addition, she oversees activities related to the acquisition of international accreditations, the participation of universities in academic cooperation networks and international consortia, as well as the organization of international events.
