ENABLE project, realized partly by the Polish research units – the University of Lodz and the European Regional Center for Ecohydrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Lodz, received the “BiodivERsA for Excellence and Impact” Award. The prize is granted every year, and this year’s awards were presented during the closing conference of the BiodivERsA3 program, which took place on November 16 and 17 in Brussels.
The ENABLE Enabling Green and Blue Infrastructure Potential in Complex Social-Ecological Regions project was carried out in 2016-2019.
The head of the Polish ENABLE team was Dr Jakub Kronenberg from the University of Lodz, and the partner in this project was Dr Kinga Krauze from the European Regional Center for Ecohydrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In total, 11 scientific institutions were involved in its implementation and dealt with popularizing the results of research on socio-ecological systems in cities.
