According to the survey of Smart Industry Poland 2019, commissioned by Siemens and the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology in April this year the vast majority of Polish engineers are of the opinion that the technical staff should assume responsibility of the leader of changes in manufacturing enterprises.
According to the engineers of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises, it is their profession that will gain in importance and provides a change supporting the competitiveness of their company on the market.
Most of the engineers employed in the surveyed manufacturing companies in the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises can boast a masters degree, about 30% have completed regular studies.
Over 50% of engineers consider the current education system to be unadapted to the requirements of innovative industry. Engineers are aware of the changes taking place within their profession and are heading towards the role of the leader of changes in the organization.
