European Rover Challenge 2018

65 teams from 20 countries will take part in international races of the European Rover Challenge 2018. The final part is planned from September 14 to 16 at the Museum of Nature and Technology in Starachowice. The event is under the patronage of the European Space Agency and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The competition will be attended by students from the best technical universities in the world. Teams from Poland include universities and high schools in Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Chełm, Kielce, Częstochowa, Gliwice, Kraków, Łódź, Opole, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Toruń, Warsaw and Wrocław. The teams from Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Canada, the United States, Norway, Mexico and Bangladesh will also compete.

The organizers inform that the European Rover Challenge is one of the world’s largest international robotics and space competitions, gathering not only specialists in the field of planetary robotics and rover constructors, but also representatives of the world of science, business and the new-tech sector.

The organizer of the event is the European Space Foundation, and the co-organizers of the Special Economic Zone “Starachowice” S.A., Poviat Starachowicki, Museum of Nature and Technology in Starachowice and Mars Society Poland.
