The Gdansk University of Technology will host the international conference of the European University Association (EUA) for the first time in Poland. On 20 and 21 April, the Gdansk university will welcome rectors, representatives of management and science from several hundred European universities.
The leading theme of the conference will be the impact of universities on the surrounding social and business environment and their shaping of key principles in times of great change and crisis. Participants will discuss the desirability of international rankings, universities’ pursuit of the highest possible quality in science and teaching, their contribution to ecology and action in the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as their key role in innovation and support for scientists in their research work.
The EUA represents more than 850 universities in 49 European countries. It plays a key role in the Bologna process and influences the European Union’s policies on higher education, research and innovation.
