Representatives of the European University Association started the evaluation of Gdańsk University of Technology in terms of organization and management of the university. During the visit, they met with the rector of the Gdańsk University, Prof. Jacek Namieśniki – informs the University of Technology on the website.

During the first visit to Gdańsk, the delegates of the Association asked first of all about the changes in higher education, in terms of the entry into force of the Constitution for Science and the way the University of Technology implement them. The representatives were also interested in the evaluation of the scientific activity of the university, co-financing for the implementation of the Integrated Program of Development of the Gdańsk University of Technology and the scholarship funds for students.

Submission to evaluation by the European University Association is voluntary. The results are presented in the form of recommendations for the assessed university and guidelines on aspects to be improved. The evaluation results will be known in the summer.
