Over 6,000 athletes from over 400 European universities will come in 2022 to participate in the European Academic Games in Łódź. The initiator of the event is Lodz University of Technology, which this year organizes two student sports events of international rank – Academic World Championships 2018 in floorball and cheerleading.

The games will take place in facilities belonging not only to the Lodz University of Technology, but also to the city and other universities in Lodz. During the last EUSA (European University Sports Association) Games the athletes competed in 21 disciplines, including basketball, football, futsal, handball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, judo, karate, rowing, rugby and swimming.
