Students from the scientific group Humanization of the Urban Environment of the Wrocław University of Science Technology will build an experimental pavilion made of ecological materials. Their action is part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Architektura-Murator publishing house.
ARCH / BOX – experimental temporary pavilion will be created from environmentally friendly materials such as cardboard and paper. Its design, reinterpreting the Gothic style, will be a reference to the cloisters of the museum located in the former Bernardine monastery. The building will be located in front of the Architecture Museum in Wrocław.
The rod structure will lack surface fillings between the ribs, which in the original Gothic style were bricks or stone. The object is to resemble the ruins of Gothic temples, and its elegant proportions and completed form made of modern materials are to resemble a prefabricated product that has just left the factory and is ready for commercial use.
