Experts of the Studio of Simple Polish from the University of Wrocław trained language consultants for the Warsaw City Hall. Consultants who have passed the difficult certification exam will advise other magistrate officials how to write in Polish simply.
Before the training, the Wrocław experts conducted a large audit of the texts of the City Hall of Warsaw.
Certified consultants and trainers will have official authorization – the Mayor of Warsaw issued an order on the introduction in the Office of the Capital City of Warsaw of simple language and language that is easy to read and understand.
According to assumptions simple language is: concise – we only write what is important for the recipient and start with the main information; precise – we build short sentences (up to 20 words) and logical – one sentence should be linked with the previous one. The language of city documents should also be direct, accessible, non-exclusive and targeted.
