The public health study at the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice has passed the validation procedure by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA).

Completed validation means that the program meets international education standards in this field of study and graduates receive education that does not differ from the best science centers in the world. This is the first step to obtain APHEA accreditation, and the whole process should be completed by December 31.

APHEA is an accrediting organization for public health education to create in the result of cooperation between the World Health Organization and the Association of Schools of Public Health of the European Region (ASPHER) which joins together the best universities educating in the field of public health in Europe and other continents.
