Organizers of science festivals from all over Poland met in Katowice during the Silesian Science Festival. The aim of the Forum of Organizers of Polish Science Festivals, co-organized by the University of Silesia and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, was to exchange experiences and good practices.

The Forum participants signed a letter of intent regarding the creation of a cooperation network of units organizing such events. The initiative is to promote the exchange of knowledge and good practices, development of competences and initiation of nationwide activities. The agreement formula is open, which will increase the number of signatories over time.

The Forum was attended by representatives of large festival events organized jointly by universities from the city or region and units implementing such projects on a smaller scale. The meeting was also attended by festival organizers from Great Britain and Sweden.
