The University of Economics in Wroclaw has ended the first School of Local Leaders realized under a cooperation agreement signed between the Lower Silesian Voivodship and the University of Economics.

The goal of the School is to strengthen cooperation between the University, its students and the Lower Silesian local governments in the transfer of knowledge, stimulation of grassroots initiatives, development of entrepreneurship and cooperation networks in the voivodship.
In the first event eighteen students from various faculties participated in trainings, lectures, workshops and study trips. The students examined the local needs in several Lower Silesian communes, made diagnoses, carried out research and proposed specific solutions. In the result they propose municipalities to revive the Old Market, promotion and integration of small hotel and restaurant business or creation of a cooperation zone – an entrepreneurship incubator.
