University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw launches the study Technology and organization of gastronomy. This is the first university dual course in Poland, i.e. carried out by a university and an enterprise.
– This is an engineering course lasting 3.5 years, of which only 4 semesters will be taught in halls, laboratories and studios at the university, the rest is learning at work in the best companies from the HoReCa sector (hotel- restaurant and catering) – explains the dean of the biotechnology department and food science at the University, Prof. Anna Czubaszek.
Students of the new field will work and earn in four different companies during their studies. Each technical, technological, managerial and diploma internship will give them different practical skills. Diploma theses will be devoted exclusively to specific practical issues and they will be written under the supervision of a specialist in the nutrition industry and an academic teacher.
