The Warsaw Kozminski University was the first university in Poland to define its own sustainable development program for the years 2020-2030. Thus, the university is expressing its global concern for a better tomorrow for the world. It declares specific actions to improve the fate of people, the environment and the entire planet.
Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska-Skierkowska is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. She was appointed in September 2020 as Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and ESR (Ethics and Social Responsibility). The team under her leadership has developed six priority Sustainable Development Goals for universities, which include:
- High-quality inclusive education and lifelong learning support for everyone.
- Equal opportunities for women and girls in all areas of social life.
- Promoting an inclusive, sustainable and innovation-friendly industry.
- Making the human living environment, including cities, safe places for human life, health and work.
- Providing positive patterns of sustainable consumption and production
- Providing the means to implement and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
