Rectors of five universities in Wrocław signed an agreement on the establishment of the WRoclaw Concept Research Center. Its task is to implement international research and development programs and technology transfer to the Polish economy.
The Wroclaw University of Technology (leader of the consortium) and Wroclaw, Nature, Economics and Medical Universities joined the agreement starting the common initiative of universities from Wroclaw and Saxony.
The center’s activity is to help consolidate the academic environment and institutions dealing with technological development and innovation. Its task will be to initiate, prepare and create conditions for the implementation of research, development, implementation and educational projects.
The Center was established as the equivalent of Dresden-concept – a scientific research network founded by the Technical University of Dresden and four German scientific societies: the Fraunhofer, Max Planck, Leibniz and Helmholtz Institutes.
