At the beginning of July, in the Błędowska Desert, flight tests of the first FOK student guided missile in Poland took place. Its creators are members of the Student Astronautics Club operating at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The rocket flight was to check the corrections made to the previous version of the rocket. The modifications made by students-mechanics allowed the individual components of the structure to be efficiently integrated. The engine started flawlessly, accelerating the rocket to over 700 km / h.

Unfortunately, due to the failure of the recovery system, the parachute did not open. The rocket made a ballistic flight. According to PW, the test was safe despite the complications thanks to the analyzes that had been carried out earlier, which enabled the selection of the optimal place and setting of the launcher, and helped to identify potential sites for the rocket’s fall.
