Master’s thesis “The use of data analysis in football on the example of prediction of football results with the help of machine learning” by Michał Górnik, the graduate of the University of Economics in Wroclaw received the second prize in the XX Wincenty Styś competition for the best master’s thesis in the field of economic sciences.

The promoter of the work is Prof. Marek Kośny from the Department of Econometrics and Operational Research at the Faculty of Management, Computer Science and Finance.

Wincenty Styś competition is organized by the Wrocław branch of the Polish Economic Society. Master’s theses in the field of economic sciences, written in Polish by Polish citizens can be enrolled in it. The theses must be correct in terms of the academic qualities, bringing interesting solutions useful for business practice.
