Professor Andrzej Dziembowski from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS), Prof. Andrzej Gałęski from the Center of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies PAS, Prof. Krzysztof Pachucki from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and Prof. Timothy Snyder from Yale University received the Awards of the Foundation for Polish Science during the gala at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education participated in the ceremony and said that all the prize-winners meet the criterion of scientific excellence.

– I believe that in the coming years there will be even more research possibilities for scientists like today’s winners, also through the implementation of Constitution for Science. I wish that the selection of winners from year to year would be more and more competitive, so that the Foundation would continue to choose the best of the best – added Deputy Prime Minister Gowin.
