Foundation for Polish Science joins the interdisciplinary program Art + Design + Science

05.06.2020

How to face the challenges of the modern world and find the answer to current problems? Combining science, design and art! The organizers, experts and participants of the first Art + Design + Science program made such an attempt. The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) was one of the partners of this idea.

The Art + Design + Science program includes four issues that stimulate thinking about contemporary challenges: climate alert, spaceship Earth, artificial intelligence and cities of sounds.

Participants were divided into four interdisciplinary groups, bringing together scientists, engineers, designers, musicians, architects, programmers and artists. They combined their diverse knowledge, experience and competences to develop new concepts in the defined areas.

-FNP has supported innovative ventures from the very beginning of its activity. That is why we have also joined this project. We believe that ground-breaking ideas, discoveries and solutions arise through meeting various science areas, and they will be based in human creativity and curiosity – said Dr Tomasz Perkowski, vice president of FNP.
