Instead of hiring an external company, a team of qualified gardeners, employees of the university, will take care of the plantings on the University of Gdansk campus. The employees will be primarily concerned with the day-to-day care of the green areas and their functionality.

The main field of activity will be the university campus in Gdańsk-Oliwa, but the gardeners will also support the university’s field units. The team will take care of the campus’ green areas on an ongoing basis and will be concerned with transforming them into a more functional and attractive place – also visually. 

The team is working together with other units with a common focus on greenery, ecology and sustainability. This year, it is planned to prepare a concept for the green development of the campus as a whole. On the basis of this, maintenance of existing greenery and new plantings will be carried out.
