The Medical University of Gdansk has been ranked high among the world’s top universities according to the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The university was ranked 801-1000 in the overall category among a record number of 1,799 participating universities and 4th among 34 Polish universities. 

“The university’s position in THE World University Rankings 2023 is very pleasing. We are noticed in the world thanks to the high quality of publications created by our researchers and the continuous and consistent development of international cooperation”, says the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Michał Markuszewski 

The University received the highest marks in the Citations and International Outlook indices, thus confirming its place among renowned academic centres where leading publications are produced and frequently cited in prestigious journals. GUMed is among the best academic centres for foreign students”.
